So the other day I was doing my laundry and I recently discovered a NEW and EXCITING way to have fun with it!!
Typically, I would just separate whites and colored and wash my clothes. After placing them in the dryer, I would fold them in the laundry room.
I hated bringing back my clothes to my room because I was always afraid that they would get wrinkly. As much as I like ironing (yes, I know, it’s a weird quirk), I simply do not have the time during the week to iron my clothes! So I make sure I fold them as soon as they are out of the dryer.
HOWEVER, when I was helping Malcolm with his laundry a few weeks ago, he looked at me with a “what are you doing?” kind of face when I started folding his clothes in the laundry room. Then he was like: ” Let’s just fold it back in my room.” I argued for a bit, but decided to give it a try. Little did I know what I was in for.
We went back to his room and he threw all his clothes on the bed. I kind of looked at the bed with disapproval, but then he said: ” JUMP in it!” I was a bit confused as to what he was asking me to do…so I just asked him to do it first. Then I jumped into the pile of clean clothes next to him and it was the BEST feeling ever! It was so warm and soft and I couldn’t get myself out of bed. Ahh, it’s like a jacuzzi minus the water and bubbles! Malcolm saw how much I enjoyed it and tried to pull me out from the pile of joy as my body weight was wrinkling his clothes.

Jumping into piles of laundry: your next favorite thing to do
It was something really silly, but it reminded me about being young again. (I know I’m not THAT old). Sometimes I feel like I’m a little bit TOO serious about things. Even when it comes to laundry, I’m a tadOCD. I actually separate the clothes by color; I put the dryers on different temperatures and I fold them as soon as they’re dry.
It’s really nice to have friends and/or someone special in your life to remind you that despite the fact that there are some serious aspects in life, sometimes you just can’t take it too seriously! Jumping into a pile of clean clothes made me feel like the little girl jumping into puddles when it rained.
Next you do your laundry, don’t dread it. Get silly and jump in! (the MORE clothes, the better)
Bring a friend and share the love!
That is all, dear readers
* I promised Malcolm I would blog about my Palisades Mall experience, but that just had to wait because talking about laundry is simply more enjoyable. *
B. I’m seriously trying this out the next time I do laundry!! HAHA I’m the same way, my clothes need to be folded AS SOON as they get out of the dryer…I need to try this…
